About Me

 

Renee Nicholls is a portrait photographer based in the UK, born in Hawaii, raised on the East Coast of the United States and Northern Spain. Having started taking pictures in her early twenties with a film camera and never stopped, Renee attended 'The School of The Art Institute of Chicago' where she earned a Bachelors in Fine Arts. It’s in Chicago where she first became interested in social issues, specifically dealing with women and children, which led her to work in documentary photography with domestic and international NGO’s, such as 'Casa Kamami' and 'Home Again'. With this breadth of photographic knowledge, she transitioned into commercial photography, specializing in family and children’s portraiture for over a decade now.
